Prader Willi Syndrome of Association of Indiana (PWSA-IN), a chapter of the national Prader Willi Syndrome Association (USA), was started in 2006 by families of individuals with PWS. PWSA-IN is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Indiana is an organization of families and professionals working together to promote and fund research, provide education, advocate and offer support to enhance the quality of life of those affected by Prader-Willi syndrome.
Every individual with Prader-Willi syndrome will achieve their maximum potential through our research, education, awareness, lobbying, advocacy, and support of families and caregivers.
How We Help
Staff Training– We provide staff training and education to residential agencies, hospital, and inpatient settings.
Schools– We can do training’s with school personal, meet with schools for behavioral issues, and assist families in IEP meetings.
Family Supports-We have parent mentors through national, we can meet with families in home or community settings, and are available by phone, email, and social media
Conferences– We host a PWS conference every other year bringing experts from around the nation to Indiana. We help support families in attending the national conference as well.
Research– We help support research in conjunction with PWSA USA, send out participant information on research, and update results on the latest research being conducted in the PWS field.
